Course content
International Commercial Terms (Incoterms) provide a globally applicable standard for delivery terms in international business transactions and are used to manage trading and shipping worldwide. The Incoterms define who is responsible for what in international trade. It is important to understand the different terms as they determine the payment and risk responsibilities between the seller and buyer or the shipper and consignee.

In this training course you will discuss the history of such Incoterms, their meaning, and the associated responsibilities from the point of view of risks and finances.

For a clearer understanding, the parties involved in the shipping process will be illustrated, starting from the seller moving onto the shipper, logistics company, transporter, customs, etc., and ending with the final consignee. Furthermore, you will learn more about the bill of lading as a basic document reviewing how it comes about, its contents, regulations and how it is implemented, highlighting some of the main charges and how these can be placed accordingly.
