Dirk Schade

Expert International Railway Operations and Inhouse Consultant Production Quality, DB Cargo AG

Dirk SchadeThe world of railway business is currently changing deeply. Often based on IT-tools, we can observe new processes, new structures and – most important – new challenging demands of all kind from customers.

“Customized process approaches” – this wording describes one of the most important tasks to transform analogue railway systems into digital systems. It’s an amazing process, exciting as well, because the success of development is consequently related every time to human beings working with and beyond those new processes!

Learning and expanding my knowledge for more than 25 years, my experiences within German Railways started at a “civil serving based company” to be transformed into a leading international freight railway company in Europe today. This is the background I bring into my methods, expertise and social skills to reach one goal at least: to increase traffic on rail worldwide together with you!

Make Railways great again – not by cheap words, but by serious and professional work - that’s the difference!

I offer training on the following topics:

  • Rail Operations: Operation planning, Daily Operations, Operation Quality
  • Border process increasement
  • Steering of Railway Undertakings (RU): Approaches to manage big organizations through different concepts, dedicated on different cultures (“multi level management in different societies”)

Hendrik Kuhlmann

Being in charge of the operational planning for southern Bavaria as well as for the conceptual planning allows me to improve and optimize our services each and every day for the millions of passengers we serve.

As a trainer of DB Rail Academy I’m glad to provide deeper insights, dismantle complex patterns and spread our vision of a strong railway worldwide.

I offer training on the following topics:

  • Railway operations

Tim Walter

Manager International Security & Business Continuity, DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH

Tim Walther

Every crisis offers an opportunity.

If we, as railway workers, see the current crisis not only as a threat, but rather use the necessary measures and associated changes in our daily lives to become better and seize the opportunities that arise, then we will emerge from the crisis stronger. Because every crisis has an end.

If we do not make use of the chance, rather simply return to our old behavior, we will be the losers.

For this reason, I would like to pass on my own findings from my current work in railway safety and crisis management, but also to encourage a fruitful discussion, so that I myself can participate in the ideas and proposals of the international participants. If we all succeed in implementing and sharing the insights gained, tomorrow's railways will emerge from the crisis stronger than before.

I offer training on the following topics:

  • Best practices of crisis & business continuity management before, during and after Corona

My knowledge is implemented in our organization to combine data, analytics and the experience of the maintenance field on a universal platform for all different types of critical railway assets, a platform with vendor- and manufacturer-independent interface standards.  But how we developed and implemented this new process in our business and our organizations; how we took those decisions regarding operational, tactical and strategical issues; and how through usage of data we optimized the availability of critical railway assets, is something that I would like to discuss in more detail with you explaining the goals and the objectives behind it.
